Southampton is located at the English south coast and its
surroundings are slightly hilly with the highest range just
rising above 300 m. This and the net of bridle ways, that
covers these hills make the area predestined for off road
cycling. Have a look at my Outdoor Gallery to see what the
surroundings of Southampton look like.
In the following I'll describe some of my favourite trips
in a raw outline, as only with the help of a proper map (OS
Explorer) all the ways can be found. To help you find the
tour on the map I am using the maps main coordinate system
to locate neuralgic points (long/lat). Most of the trips are
a combination of on and off road and can only be cycled with
a mountain bike.
