Whenever I have the possibility to leave Southampton I try to get
to places where I can walk, as this is one of my preferred ways
to spend my free time. Fortunately the UK are walking country. It
is not comparable with the mountaineering in the Alps (my home),
but not less enjoyable.
Snowdonia (North Wales)
Some of Britain's highest mountains. Two day walks in the beautiful
National Park of Snowdonia.
Pembrokeshire (South Wales)
Two days on the Pembrokshire Coastal Path. High cliffs and
fantastic views inclusive.
If you are interested in mountaineering, and you understand
German, than have a look at my database of trips
